The Convention Centre formed the first component of the future Ariyana resort that would ultimately include two 1400 apartment condotels, facility and amenity buildings and beach front villas. The master plan and architectural design were developed with the needs of the future resort in mind.

The 3 level Convention Centre includes the large long span, column free multifunction event hall (over 2000m2) smaller breakout meeting rooms, large pre-function areas, VIP lounge, event kitchens, staff facilities and basement parking. The architectural form is arranged onside to address a significant arrival and set down area and provide beach and sea views from the pre-function and meeting room areas.

The fa├žade is design with large areas of glazing that have passive shading provided by the large roof eaves and shaped structural blades that support the facade and roof, allowing view to gardens and sea but blocking the intense afternoon western sun.

This was the first commissioned and completed project of Darkhorse. Our commission was masterplan and concept architectural design, and interior design.
